What if your town turned into a theme park four months out of every year? For residents of KETCHIKAN, May, June, July
and August are spent catering to more than ONE MILLION TOURISTS who visit the town each year by cruise ships. These tourists
overrun the town, plundering cheap t-shirts, trinkets of tiny seals, and jewelry that looks like it could have been made by
natives. The feature length documentary film KETCHIKAN focuses on how this shift in industry has affected the town's culture.
This film also strives to PRESERVE KETCHIKAN FOLKLORE and HISTORY...before it's too late.
